This video is a great introduction to what ASP is and what you can do with it. Great explanations, to the point and fast, in only 4 hours one goes from total ignorance to actually being able to build a simple ASP website (and much more). Some prior knowledge of especially CSS is helpful, but anyone interested in learning ASP.NET presumably will already have this. I recommend this video.

I highly recommend this video as a painless way to get a very comprehensive overview of ASP.NET.
It is a very good mixture of high-level conceptual presentation and the nitty-gritty details of useful techniques.
The production values are very good. The author has a good clear strong voice.
I recommend viewing it once without trying the examples, in order to get the overview, and then a second time to create the demo code.

A lot of stuff is glanced over, and not discussed in the expected depth. And what is described in the first (powerpoint-slide) section of the video, isnt even pointed out in the example part for more than two seconds. An example would be Strongly-typed HTML Helpers in lesson 10b. This video isnt horrible, just not for mid-level developers.

I listened to one chapter and found the monologue terrible. It was not professional and seemed awkward at times.
