This book was required for my Videography class, but seeing as how I have Adobe Creative Suite 4, Production Premium installed on my computer and everything is CS4, this book is outdated and I cannot use it. If your class has Premiere Pro 2.0, it will be quite useful. For me it is not, but it is still well written and educationally concise.

I knew nothing about this software, but needed to learn as much as possible about it, and very fast, so I decided to buy the book, and must say it was the right choice. Step by step lessons, easy to understand, all topics and possibilities are presented. The incluided DVD has a video for each lesson, making understanding even easier. A must book for those wishing to feel at ease and enjoy the many tools and possibilities of Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 software.

Bought this book for a class and thought it would be a waste but was actually a good book. Gives you a lot of the basics for editing videos with premiere pro. Good building book.

The book was great - especially the first 2 chapters - overview and turorial. Quite a few files on the DVD cannot be used making it quite difficult to follow the step-by-step instructions. I've sent a request to replace the DVD and did not receive any feedback from Adobe. I recommend the book to get a general idea of how to use the product. However, it can be frustrating when the 'finished movie' and sample files cannot be used.
