Reader Reviews From Amazon (Ranked by 'Helpfulness') Average Customer Rating: based on 11 reviews. Lots of info, but very basic, 2009-02-22 Reviewer rating: I like this book, it has a lot of info. But if you are pretty good at QB already, it won't help you much. I was hoping it would help me to learn about setting up my fixed assets and liablity accounts. The info was minimal and didn't help me much at all. | Works for us, 2007-10-20 Reviewer rating: Got this for the office because I know the Missing Manual series of books is exceptional. Accounting doesn't wind my clock, but this book has made it easier. | Quickbooks doesn't NEED its own manual..use this one!, 2007-09-24 Reviewer rating: I am not a professional reviewer, but I needed to comment on the value of this book. I just started my own business and am lost in software land. I heard Quickbooks was the way to go, so, I followed suit and purchased it. Upon recommendation, I took part in the "online tutorials". It helped me learn a few things. "What next?", I inquired. "Use the help menu", was the catty reply. Forget that...I went searching for and found this book. Immediately, I found what I was looking for..Explainations! Examples! Education! Horray! Thank God I found the Missing Manual...
| Effective material, 2007-07-11 Reviewer rating: I haven't read the book from cover to cover, but instead by using the index and table of contents to find what I am looking for. The book is well laid out and does a very good job of covering the key components of the QuickBooks system.
It's a little more comprehensive that many other books, but that is what I wanted so its a good choice. | Very Good for nubies, 2006-11-02 Reviewer rating: Very good book for those just starting out. It goes over the basics of setting up.
I've worked with QB for 7+ years and thought the book was about shortcuts and secrets and workarounds, so I was dissapointed in my choice. My part time assistant finds it invaluable. |
