It consciously avoids the sterile academic debates and focuses clearly on value added ideas and initiatives. The 10 questions sections are incredibly powerful.’

This book provides valuable insight and guidance, not only with regard to setting up detailed pro-forma financial statement budgets (including the difficult balance sheet) using spreadsheet software, but also on how to work out and critically assess the numbers and the assumptions that go into all this.  It is well written and easy to read and follow. For me, a former CPA and someone who has prepared many such pro-formas myself, it also provided lots of "food for thought".  If you work with numbers, studying this book is a good investment of your time.
