@Mark Fox - on the extras tab, it's a zip file.
I got about half way through Flex 3 TFS which was very good also. In this book, I've noticed a few mistakes and some parts where the book was not updated for flex 4. A couple examples would be referencing <mx:Application> when it should say <s:Application> and some of the screen shots are of flex builder 3, not flash builder 4. I've only just begun the book but it's just like it's predecessor so I'm sure it will be good, save the mistakes.

As I've worked through this book I've found it a good resource to learning Flex 4 leveraging my previous experience developing pure AS3 projects with Flex Builder (now Flash Builder).
The authors do a good job of pacing and structuring the book to keep the reader engaged. Sometimes they get a little verbose but I suppose they have to — I tend to skim most books on programming because I can't ingest large linear chunks of info. The book does a good job of calling out important tidbits for readers like me.
Initially I was frustrated/concerned because the book is written with the understanding that you may want to get at certain example files located seemingly only on the CD that comes with the print copy — however I have found that these example files are not totally required to follow along the lessons. Early lessons it's fairly painless just to copy and paste code right from the book. However, later lessons don't always give full source but as someone with previous Flash/Flex experience I was able to just read straight and grasp the concepts without compiling anything. I would say this is the one major drawback to reading this book through Safari Books Online though.
