This is exactly what it claims to be; a reference to all things html, xhtml and css.
I love the series of these books and have read many editions. Having it web based makes the code a little bit easier to replicate. In the paper based version it is hard to follow as a simple syntax error can mess up the whole example.
It's big, bulky but worth having on hand if you need.
Not really a newbie text as it gets complicated fast.
