Configure the MacBook Display
MacBook’s display is what you look at while you use it, and so it is important to know how to configure the screen so it matches your viewing preferences. You can configure the display’s resolution, brightness, and color profile.
Although the physical size of MacBook’s display is fixed, the amount of information that it can show (its resolution) is not. That is because each pixel (short for picture element) that makes up the display’s images can be larger or smaller. When pixels are larger, what is on the screen is shown on a larger, zoomed-in scale. When pixels are smaller, more content is shown on the screen, but on a smaller, zoomed-out scale.
