The fact that you are reading this book means that you are at least in the first box of Figure 12.1: you have started to explore Positive Manager Behaviour and perhaps considered its usefulness. Hopefully, Chapters 5, 6, 7 and 8 have given you a good feel for the behaviours involved in each of the four competencies of the Positive Manager Behaviour framework.
As you read through the behavioural descriptors within the Positive Manager Behaviour framework and the various case studies, you will have had a chance to think about how they compare with the management behaviour you experience in your day-to-day work. Perhaps you thought about the way your own manager behaves. If you are an external consultant, perhaps you reflected on the different management styles you have seen in different client organizations.
