This is the best book for someone like me who is new to photography and bought a very nice SLR. The information is invaluable and sent me back to the manual and the camera to make sure I did the settings correctly. It explains everything very clearly. I can say I finally understand what the other books are talking about. Highly recommended, specially for a beginner.

I have read this book cover to cover and have learned so much about my digital cameras and Picasa and iPhoto. I own four of David Pogue's books.
This truly is the Missing Manual that should have been in the box with my cameras.

This book is O.K. for beginners, and does have some tips I didn't know about, it was worth it just for that. I use photoshop, so a lot of the book about computer programs wasn't useful, but for someone without photoshop, I'm sure that stuff is good.

I've been into photography off and on for years. One thing I've learned to hate are 250 to 300 page books to make something "simple". You can learn a lot from this book and it frankly is just a good read without a lot of hype.

This book is a must for anyone taking up digital photography. So much murky information in a camera's manual is made clear. Terrific!
