I just wanted a book to explain Excel. Not only is there too much extra verbage in this book, the authors insert so-called humor in it. I don't want an expanded novel. This book angers me as I have to drudge through their rhetoric. Do they live on earth? Did they get paid by the word? Have they ever paid attention to following instructions? If they have, they would have written this piece of garbage in a way that actually communicates. I suggest they take a basic communication class before they write again. Shame on you microsoft for putting this out. I wonder if the authors are kin to Gates.

Complete rundown of the 2007 features with solid explanations. I would call this a thinking person's manual in that there is a certain level of technical expertise assumed. My wife has taken a job where she has been asked to provide some more elegant solutions for existing docuemnts. So far the book has not failed her.

I love this book. It is very detailed and very well structured. A must have if you are new to Excel 2007 (which is different than the previous versions but 100 times better and easier to use).
