The company I work for decided that they wanted to start using SharePoint 2010, and the project was sort of dumped on my lap.  I hardly knew what SharePoint was, let alone how to configure it.

I've read tons and tons of official Microsoft documentation, but I find myself turning to this book when I want the simple steps of how to get something done.  I know it's just meant to be a training kit, but it's become a resource for me when I don't always remember how to do something!  It's just very clearly written.

Very good for studying for the exam and also for learning "real-world" SharePoint.  As a "seasoned" SharePoint pro I was pleasantly surprised the number of new bits of information I came across in the book that I haven't elsewhere - definately recommended.  Nice work Dan Holme and Alastair Matthews.
