"What a waste of time (Storage related)" - by wayback on 01-OCT-2013

Firstly this is written like someone took a bunch of bullet points and collapsed them into paragraphs.  Then there is the inexplicable structure. In the Storage management section we're reading along about basic RAID structures and suddenly we jump to installing the Hyper-V feature. Then suddenly back to storage.  Bizarre.

I think the worst part is how this really explains nothing.  You could do just as well by following the wizards then waste time reading this.  I'd really like to know the benefits or drawbacks to virtual disks.  What if I've got hardware RAID? What in the world are Storage Spaces as opposed to Storage Pools. They seem to conflict in some places and other places refer to Spaces in a section title and they a no longer mentioned again.

Admittedly I was specifically looking for information regarding storage so I didn't read the rest but this part was very disappointing.

"Covers too many things but Windows Server 2012" - by Anonymous on 03-MAR-2013

This book has no clear structure. It tries to cover way too many things that have nothing to do with Windows Server 2012, such as UEFI, types of USB connectors and what are IPv4 addresses... It makes it very difficult to find the relevant information, or even what is the goal of this book.
