As as an early release this material appears to have been rewritten from a fresh perspective building in knowledge from the previous versions. So far the material seems to be demonstrating the most critical and useful aspects of the new SharePoint 2013 contrasting them nicely when they would be applicable in SharePoint 2010 and previous versions.
