Programming in C is by far the best C resource I have
used. In writing a great amount of code for my Senior
Design I used the book almost daily. The examples are
effective in explaining everything from if statements
to pointers to functions. I highly recommend this book
to others.

There are two C books you absolutely need to read. This one, and "C Programming: A Modern Approach". don't bother with the K&R C book - It's so outdated. I frequently hear people say that the only C book u need is the K&R book, but they're so wrong!

I bought this book to turn my attention to the C language as I have never been formally versed in it. After wondering a few things in C that I have always seen through C++ (or better yet extern ), I finally dropped a buck on a C book. I chose this book because it was written after C99, and that is the only reason.
This book moves fast, very fast, and very comprehensive. At a book store I read parts of Objective-C, the author claims to have written that also, but I didn't find it nearly as straight and concise as this book.
Not being an experienced C programmer per say, I'd have to say this book is a major contender for any C book to come. I have not read the thought to be bible book "The C Programming Language", but I can't imagine that book being much more if any. The exposure of C from the start is the kind you see in modern C programs all over the web. ie. naming schemes, syntax, declarations, etc...
Another thing, and take this for what it is worth, the books physical form is just right. I wish all books came in this exact dimensions.

Whether you're a beginner or experienced programmer this book is an excellent reference. For the beginner, you will learn to program in C in a very methodical way. For the experienced programmer, if you haven't used C in awhile then this book will get you back up to speed in no time flat.
