Lots of Typos and flat out errors - 2009-06-06
Reviewer Rating: 1 star rating2 star rating3 star rating4 star rating5 star rating
This book was almost good. but there are just too many mistakes. Lots and lots of typos, And I mean big ones that should have gotten caught. I have read the book twice now and the second time through I have found many more subtle errors. You will read a set of technical specifications and then on the next page a chart or graph will contradict the previously read material. You are now left with deciding which is right, and that's only if you notice it. Many mistakes are obvious some are not and others are just very confusing and make you scratch you head for a few minutes trying to figure out what they mean. The CD that comes with it is worthless. It has 30 questions, and when you go to buy more they want $109.00 for 200 more questions. wow. I found 300 practice questions from simulation exams for $27.00. So In short I would recommend one of the other books that have come out for network+ 2009 N10-1004 exam even though I haven't read them. Mike meyers just came out with one that has 200 practice questions on CD I don't know if its good But it can't be worse that this book.

Good review material for exam - 2009-10-11

Book is well written, though it does cover some material not necessary for the exam. It does highlight and shift focus to the required parts as well as lists tips for remembering specific aspects of the exam.

Overall, good purchase and would recommend it. For the most part, an easy read.

SERIOUSLY this book did help, BUT KNOW WHAT TO STUDY BEFORE YOU TAKE THE TEST and this book helps. And has the new objectives in it as well.

Concise, Helpful, Not THAT Many Errors - 2009-08-18
Reviewer Rating: 1 star rating2 star rating3 star rating4 star rating5 star rating
I found this book helpful, easy to read, and up to date. The errors are relatively few. There are no wrong answers given in the test questions in the book and CD. There seems to be only three instances of wrong info in the text which are really wrong. The typos are few compared to other guides. Compare this book with other Network+ guides, and this book comes out on the top side. It is good to study from more than one guide book. This book does cover a few different things from other books.
