PC Rescue Help, 2009-04-22
Reviewer rating:
I had an earlier edition of this book which did not contain information about later hardware, so I decided to purchase this newest edition. If you are interested in changing or replacing hardware or in fine tuning the BIOS, this book is indispensable. I had a specific concern when I purchased the book and it was quickly answered. Highly recommended!

Reviewer rating:
Very good book, I have several of Scott Mueller books and this one is even better then the previous versions. The DVD is great show new computer how to set up routers and a wireless network. The book goes into detail about repair and troubleshooting the system. Along with spec on CPU Memory and other spec.I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about there computer and repair and do upgrade on your own. The DVD alone is worth the price if you never set up a wireless or hard wire network this DVD will show you step by step how along with other information on it.
All You Would Ever Want to Know About PC's, 2009-02-10
Reviewer rating:
This book covers everything having to do with computers and common peripherals, from history to manufacture to repair. It's a wonderful, complete, in depth resource for anyone wanting to understand how computers work. I especially appreciated all the history. One, because it gave me explanations and perspective for a lot of things I'd heard about but not completely understood over the last 20 years, and also because I wanted to understand not only current systems, but out-of-date systems as well. Not everyone has the most current technology. I'm a newbie, but I think this book is a wonderful compilation for beginners as well as the experienced technician.
Great Book!, 2008-11-23
Reviewer rating:
This book is a must have for any IT tech or personal computer hobbyist. Even advanced knowledged users sometimes need a little refreshing on some matters and this does the job excellent. It covers from the most basic to some advanced features and doesn't overwhelm the reader with ultra advanced jargon. The dvd was a bit dissapointing to me, but others may find it useful. It deals almost entirely with wired and wireless networking and doesn't show any new clips with the newest motherboards and processors like the author does with his previous edition. Overall it is a very good book.
Another winner, 2008-11-16
Reviewer rating:
I totally enjoy reading Scott Mueller's books on computers, simply because he writes so you can understand what he is saying. His books are up to date on the very latest computer systems, plus Windows. Included is a DVD which has become invaluable to own, as you can watch on your monitor what he has written. If you don't own this book and you are interested in computers you should have it in your library. Your knowledge will be improved without having to use a computer dictionary to understand what he is saying.
