Not an introductory book and does not take a step by step approach. You have to have a solid background in using the debugger and must have debugged a couple crash dumps, couple application crashes and the like before you can start reading this one. Another prerequisite to this book is that you have an understanding of the following: Intel architecture, Assembly language, Windows Internals. The book is focused on the Windows debugger and the Windows internal system structures and functions and their significance during the analysis of a system crash. It is one of a kind and I'm not sure there is any other book like it The author has done what we have been looking to get for years now.
