I've been a programmer for years, but haven't programmed in Java for 5 years.  I really liked this book as an overview and to remind me of all the things that I had forgotten.  I thought it flowed nicely and was easy to follow.  The examples were clear and the chapters short and sweet.

This book was a perfect resource to improve my understanding of Java. This covers the area's that you need to know to support and write enterprise level Java applications. The book does not get caught up in the obscure details of Java nor does it attempt to explain Java through the lens of a computer scientist. The code examples show you how to use the material covered instead of highlighting features of the language. It is the best Java Tutorial I have used to date and the one I have ever finished cover to cover.
