Have been reading this whilst at work, found it the easiest to pick up of all the t-sql books. I like how you're given exercises to do after you learn about the topic in hand at relevant intermissions and don't have one big long exercise that shocks you at the end like many other tech books.

Having said that at the time of writing this review...the appendix is missing meaning you can't verify your answers! It's not a problem early on as there are pictures in the book you can compare to your screen but as you are progressing more and more it will no doubt become a problem once you get on to more complicated stuff.

UPDATE: Scratch that, can be found on the apress website. Happy days. Great book!
