Shot List

As mentioned in Chapter 4, “Types of Wedding Coverage,” a shot list should neither be prohibitive nor a task master. It’s simply a way to keep on track—a reminder of the important moments and people to watch for. A shot list is an excellent way to stay organized, but make sure to look up from your list and catch all the unanticipated moments, too. Of course, the wedding you shoot may require you to incorporate different cultural and personal elements, but following is a general shot list for a ceremony from which to build your customized version:

image Wide shot of entire site

image Grandparents arriving/walking down aisle

image Parents arriving/walking down aisle

image Groom and groomsmen taking their places

image Bridesmaids walking down aisle

image Doors opening for bride
