Instead of starting with the basics and building up the knowledge, this book starts at an arbitrary point and then presents recipes for solving real-world problem without enough grounding.
If you're hoping to learn REDIS from this book, give it a miss.

Sorry, the docs at http://redis.io have more info than this 'cookbook'. I'm very disappointed.
