Except for one example using node.js, all samples are Ruby.  A couple of examples in Java or Python would have been great.

Instead of starting with the basics and building up the knowledge, this book starts at an arbitrary point and then presents recipes for solving real-world problem without enough grounding.

If you're hoping to learn REDIS from this book, give it a miss.

Sorry, the docs at http://redis.io have more info than this 'cookbook'. I'm very disappointed.
