If you're coming from scripting languages to C, this is the book you want to read. It got me over some mental blocks I had, which were based on frustrating experiences in the nineties, and made me actually enjoy writing C.

First time I read through I was not overly enthusiastic, but after browsing a couple of more times I have started to like it. It introduces C99 and C11 and a few new clever things we can do with C. It also cover more modern C development. I also like the easy to read hipster writing style which thankfully does not go completely overboard with "awesome" adjectives.
