"A short, easy read and a useful perspective" - by Erik Przekop on 05-NOV-2013

I gave this 4 stars because it is a great example of conveying a perspective without being bloated.  This short read summarizes the author's perspective on what Big Data is (as well as what it isn't), what it can do, and what it's successor paradigms might look like.

This won't give you practical advice on choosing a vendor or setting up a cluster.  It might engage your imagination and creativity, which I believe is even more important.
