"Very much text, no examples!" - by The Reader on 24-MAR-2013

The writer of this book must be a very interesting guy.
He is able to write a lot of MSDN stuff into a book and not to provide any example.
So you (the reader) have to read a lot of sites and still don't know how to do it.
If you are able to remember all of the information until the very end, than the book is of use for you.
But in no way it's a book to teach people the use of WCF.
Alas, the title means nothing in the way like, you can learn, or if you are an immediate.
So somewhere in the book there is, if you until now have used the interface in this way, you also can use it in this way.
So, the author has no imagination, that there are people in this world, who haven't done the same things he did.
Because they have done other things.
Therefore, to learn WCF this book is of no use.
To have information about different subjects, it is interesting.
But only, if you have done different things with WCF before.

"This is just an overview, a lot of things missing" - by Raffaeu on 29-MAR-2011

It is a good book as it covers all the topics in WCF but everything is left away. To me, it looks like this book has been wrote in rush. I mean, in the Chapter 3 there is nothing that explains how to use the serialization process in WCF. It just shows a little memory stream sample.
And unfortunately the whole book is following this "minimalist" path.
