I've been away from web front-end development for a few years and this book was a great way to hop back in and get an overview and brief introduction to what I've been missing.

Its been a few years since I was doing web development. While its like drinking from a firehose, its great to get a quick overview of what has changed, what is being used and how to plan for your future education in web development.

I really like this book, great breadth coverage of the web platform. Gasston has a talent for technical writing for understanding. It's also very forward looking, so I don't think it would be as quickly outdated as other books in this area may be. Overall, I'd recommend it.
