Conclusion

Too often the UI takes a backseat to the rest of production and isn’t addressed until the later stages of development. That is when problems tend to occur. Whether you are directly involved with the UI or not, talk to the team and be sure it is getting the attention it needs.

Up to this point, we’ve explored with a broad stroke a significant amount of information regarding creating game art. In the next chapter, we’re going to take that information and talk about how to put it all together and add the finishing touches.
