3.1 First time in DB2 Admin Note: Once you have installed DB2 Admin and customized the installation as described in Chapter 2, "Customization" on page 15, you can activate the DB2 Admin function from its Main Menu shown in Figure 3-3. 3.1.1 Navigating the menus You get to the DB2 Admin Menu panel from ISPF, either selecting the DB2 Admin entry in the Master Application Menu, or issuing a TSO command. Alternatively, you can get to the Menu after activating the DB2 Admin Tool Launchpad. When you start DB2 Admin from the Master Application Menu ISPF panel, you usually see the DB2 Admin panel that shows the active DB2 subsystems on the z/OS system where you logged onto TSO. On our system, it looks like Figure 3-1. DB2 Admin ------------------- Active DB2 Systems ------------------ Row 1 of 2 Command ===> Scroll ===> PAGE This is a list of the active DB2 systems on this MVS system. Enter: DB2 system name ===> Retain DB2 system name ===> Y (Y/N) Or select the one you wish to use, or press END to exit.
