You can do so by executing the following command on the database server: db2 "CREATE DATABASE <database name> on <mount point>" The mount point name has to be explicitly specified in the CREATE DATABASE command. For example, to create a database named MYDB on an IBM N series storage system volume named db2data that is mounted on a mount point named
