Creating Schema-Level Replication

This section presents the steps to configure Streams replication for the SCOTT schema. As displayed in Figure 14-4, select the Setup Streams Replication option for creating the local capture process, and then select the Replicate Schemas option. In the Host Credentials section, enter a login ID that has administrator privileges for the database. In this example, we log in as user oracle. Click the Continue button to start the Streams Replication Setup wizard.

As described next, there are five steps in the Streams Replication Setup wizard. Internally, the wizard uses the same mechanism used by the MAINTAIN procedures to configure Streams (discussed in Chapter 8).
