When to Run the Streams Health Check Script

Ideally, you should run the HC script right after completing the Streams setup, and review the report for configuration issues, if any. Don’t wait until Oracle Support asks you to run the script!

You should also run the HC script during peak load on the database. This will capture statistical information that can be used to diagnose any issues with Streams processes. The HC script itself triggers additional checks depending on some of the performance data.
