OEM Grid Control is typically used to manage the Oracle VM system in environments where OEM is already installed and configured and in larger VM Server farms. Since OEM Grid Control must be set up prior to configuring it for Oracle VM, additional work is needed. However, this work is well worth it because you can use OEM Grid Control not only to configure and manage the Oracle VM environment but also to manage and monitor the virtual machine’s databases and applications.
Within OEM Grid Control, a virtual server pool is created from within the Virtual Servers subtab in the Targets tab. This tab shows the currently configured server pools and offers several options in the two drop-down menus. From the first menu, select Virtual Server Pool, Virtual Server, or Guest VM. From the second menu, if you selected Virtual Server Pool from the first menu, the following options are available:
