Planning for the Future

As more and more pioneering organizations use Fusion Applications its management needs will become much clearer, however even now as a new product suite it is still possible to highlight some key areas that the application manager should include as part of their infrastructure and future planning.

This chapter does not uncover any product designs or unpublished plans, however helps create a helpful picture that should allow the development of a management strategy that includes longevity and helps secure an ongoing return on investment.

There are three main sections to this discussion. The first gives some highlights on where the general technologies and architectures used in Fusion Applications are heading. The next section looks directly at Fusion Applications and how its products and features will evolve going forward. And the final section considers Fusion Applications management and how requirements, tooling, and approaches will develop over time.
