Reinstalling Oracle APEX

If you have APEX installed but it is not running correctly, you need to uninstall APEX before taking the following steps.

Step 1: Install Oracle APEX and Set Up DAD

Log in as SYS user and run the following command in the $ORACLE_HOME/apex directory (install_apex.sql):

The installation will take a few minutes. After running the script, you can follow the steps described in Step 1 in the “Configuring Oracle APEX” section earlier in the chapter to check the APEX installation status.

Steps 2–7: Set Up DAD, Configure APEX in DB, and More

Please refer to Steps 2–7 in the “Configuring Oracle APEX” section to set up DAD, configure APEX in DB, unlock the ANONYMOUS user, set up the HTTP server, and validate APEX access by visiting the administration and development websites.
