Setting Up APEX Development Environment

After APEX is installed, we need to log in to the APEX admin UI to create the APEX application workspace. Log in to the APEX admin UI (http://localhost:8081/apex/apex_admin) and update the ADMIN user password as shown in Figure A-3.

After you receive confirmation of the updated password, click the Return button to return to the login page.

Creating a Workspace

After logging in to the APEX admin page, we can create the new workspace by choosing Manage Workspace | Manage Workspaces | Create Workspace shown in Figure A-4.

You need to specify the workspace name (CONTACT_MANAGEMENT) and its database schema (XMLDEMO) as shown in Figures A-5 to A-6.
