The Operational Viewpoint describes a set of tightly coupled models that must share many common elements, such as activities, resource and information flows, rules and constraints, performers, and more (see Figure 3.5-1). The following are a few examples of the need for consistency among models in an integrated architecture:

If the OV-1 depicts performers and activities, they must be consistent with performers and activities in OV-2, OV-3, OV-5, OV-6a, and OV-6c.
Resource flows if depicted in the OV-2 must be consistent with OV-3 and OV-6c.
Activities, performers, and resource flows in OV-5 must be consistent with OV-2, OV-3, and OV-6c.
