Although in Table 3.7-2 it appears that the intersections of services are for all operational activities (within the scope of this SvcV -5 model), the important finding is that the reuse potential for the services is extremely high because identity documents are read and validated at each point at which determining a passenger’s identity through an identification document is important.

In general, the SvcV-5 model allows the service architect to establish correspondence between a service and the operational context in which it is useful. Planning a family of services is similar to a product planning exercise where the planner is determining the product features that maximize market coverage and minimize development investments.
