Table 3.7-6 shows the Service Rules Model as applied in the passenger identification example. Service rules constrain some aspect of the service, such as behavior. They are embedded inside the logic that implements the service. For business services, service rules may be provided as a constraint specification by the business entity that is sponsoring the service. Typically, these may be rules that must flow through to service providers such as in regulatory scenarios or in compliance with requirements of policy.
