Testing FDM Integration

Some of the most common issues can be isolated by testing some of the basic functions of FDM.

Target Application Integration

Log on to the application, go to the Metadata option in the menu, and then click Control Tables. When you double-click the year, a list of years will drop down. Select a year from the list and click OK. Click Update Grid to save the change. If the years do not populate, you are not able to integrate with HFM from FDM.

How you fix it If this happens, you need to make sure your integration settings are correct. If you don’t find an issue, or changes don’t resolve it, then you need to review the System log for DCOM errors. Any DCOM errors would indicate the configuration was done incorrectly during the install. If you have imported multiple adaptors, select the second (and subsequent) adaptor from the Adaptor drop-down. Confirm that the list of years populates for that adaptor.
