Oracle HFM System Logs > Windows Event Log

Windows Event Log

The next place you can find system messages is in the Windows event log. To see these, though, you need to first have access to the system, and second, you need to understand that the messages are about the services and not functional issues in HFM. Figure 6-5 shows an example of this log.

These errors can be overwritten just by the Windows Server policy, so if you wish to save this or record this information, you need to update Windows.

When you first start the application, a “Registry” record is the first thing logged. This message is written to the event log every time an application starts up on one of the servers. Once the last user has logged out of the application on the specific server, the HsvDataSource.exe process will terminate on its own. When the first person logs on, there can be a delay to starting HFM, and the services that are starting are one of the causes.
