With a visceral conviction that I have succeeded in the past, successful salespeople generally have loads of confidence in their skills and abilities, sometimes well founded and sometimes not so much. Either way, what stories will you hear them repeating? Will you get recounts of their abject failures, a retelling of their competitive losses? Not likely. What you will hear is a highlight reel of their competitive conquests and heroic efforts in successfully pulling off the impossible against all odds.
