New Beginnings: One Door Shuts, Another One Opens

We’ve all heard innumerable motivational theories that tell us that the bad stuff is really the good stuff dressed up in a Halloween costume—so long as it does not kill you. Others say it’s a life and brand test that will make you a lot smarter. Most miss (or ignore) the gritty details: the extreme pain, doubt, and emotional wear and tear these dramas can have on one’s soul and ultimately one’s brand.

Throughout this lesson, we will look at individuals, who, while serving their time in jail, rehab, or left out in the wilderness, found deeper conviction and were resilient enough to keep their dreams alive and put their brands back on track. They survived their punishment, paid their dues, overcame their addictions, and battled back. They made changes and refreshed their image; as a result, their brands have returned to their former glory.
