CHAPTER 5 Block and Circuit Diagrams Diagrams A diagram is a picture that replaces, or supplements, words as a description of something. One obvious type of diagram is the one that is used for flat-pack furniture, consisting of a set of drawings of the components at each stage of assembly. At a time when radio technology was the main part of electronics, books and magazines for the amateur used to contain similar diagrams (Figure 5.1).
