It is surprisingly useful because often just copying and rotating is not sufficient or takes too many steps. To learn this command you have to think of a real-life mirror, with you standing in front of it. The original object is you, the plane is the door with the mirror attached (that can swing on a hinge), and the new object is your mirrored reflection. To practice this command, draw a triangle by joining 3 lines together as seen in Figure 1.32. Step 1 Begin the mirror command via any of the above methods. · AutoCAD will say: Select objects: Step 2 Select all three lines of the triangle and press Enter. · AutoCAD will say: Specify first point of mirror line: Step 3 Click anywhere near the triangle and move the mouse around.
