CHAPTER Transforming the Organization 8 Software design is an art as well as a science. designing products that meet the needs of customers requires insight, creativity, knowledge, skill, and discipline. It is a complex process that is almost always done in the context of organizations. An organization can do much to support the process and to help ensure success.
