Thank you - Pg. 14

THANK YOU On a good week, I can look back and recognize that I used my time well. I divided it between selling work and doing work, and both learning and teaching. In our industry, it's easy and necessary to focus on selling, doing, and learning, even if "selling" only involves validating ideas with internal pitches. Those activities all drive immediate or future income. But teaching and mentoring? They rarely pay immediate dividends--yet they're vital investments in how we sustain our community. So we share case studies, give feedback, and present at conferences. I've had the opportunity to lecture undergraduate design students, conduct workshops, and help "content curious" colleagues explore new career paths. These are not acts of altruism; they're investments in our collective economy. I want our industry to nurture new talent and attract eager collaborators who can offer diverse approaches to problem solving.
