Configuring Instant Message Settings (Galaxy Tab 7")

You can change your instant message settings in the Settings app so you can manage your messages to your liking, set Cell Broadcast settings, and determine how you want to be notified of new messages that come into your message Inbox.

1. Tap the Applications icon to view your apps if you haven’t done so already.

2. Tap Messaging, and then press the Settings button.

3. Tap Settings.

4. Tap Delete Old Messages if you want to turn off the default of deleting old message as limits are reached. You can set those storage limits in the next step.

5. Change the number of text messages stored in each conversation by tapping Text Message Limit.

6. Type the message limit in the box or tap the + and – buttons to move the number up and down one message, respectively.
