The “lock focus and recompose” tip I just shared on the previous page works for almost every situation, with almost one exception: when you’re shooting a portrait with your f-stop set to f/1.4, or maybe even f/1.8 (of course, you have to have a lens capable of shooting at that wide an f-stop, so if you don’t have one of those, you can skip this tip altogether).
