Managing Your Collection

The primary method for making music, videos, pictures, and podcasts available on your phone involves copying (syncing) items from your collection to the phone. In Zune speak, the collection refers to all of your multimedia content, which exists by default within your Windows profile (C:\Users\<your name>) and the public profile (C:\Users\Public). Although these are the default locations used within the collection, you can modify the collection to use custom paths. This is particularly useful when you store music, videos, or pictures in nondefault locations, such as on a network storage device.

You can access the collection paths by completing these steps:

1. Open the Zune software.

2. Click Collection.

3. Click Settings.
