A good calculator has become a staple for almost every mobile device, and Windows Phone is no exception. The built-in calculator can be used for simple arithmetic or for scientific calculations.
Accessing the Calculator
You can access the phone’s calculator by following these steps:
1. Tap the Start button.
2. Flick the arrow icon to scroll to the App List.
3. Tap Calculator.
The Scientific Calculator
Although the Calculator app might at first appear to be very basic, Windows Phone does include a scientific calculator. You can access it by opening the Calculator app in the manner just described and then turning the phone sideways. When you do, the Calculator is displayed in Scientific mode.
