Although not quite as full-featured as the desktop version, the mobile version of Excel allows you to create and view spreadsheets with ease. Excel Mobile can even be used to open Excel 2010 documents, but any unsupported features that were used in the document are ignored by Excel Mobile.
Creating a New Spreadsheet
You can create a new Excel spreadsheet by following these steps:
1. Press the Start button.
2. Flick the arrow icon to access the App list.
3. Tap Office.
4. Flick the screen to access the Documents page.
5. Tap the New icon.
6. Tap Excel.
The procedure just outlined assumes you want to create a blank Excel spreadsheet. However, when you tap the New icon, Windows provides a number of different templates you can choose from to create preformatted spreadsheets. For example, Microsoft provides templates for tracking expenses, tracking vehicle mileage, and even a golf score card.
